哇，找了一堆Edward Gorey的書後，除了Cautionary Tales for Children之外，有多兩本很正的，也作介紹:

1. The Gashlycrumb Tinies

這是很有名的，當年媽咪在美國就是看見幾個小朋友玩時說以下的詩句，媽咪好奇下問他們是什麼詩時，就認識了Edward Gorey (點解小朋友，0甘恐怖用呢d詩在玩架? 猶他洲的孩子果然是不同的.....):

2. The Hapless Child 幸福不是必然的故事


Charlotte Sohpia是一個有錢家內的獨女


萬千寵愛在一身的Charlotte沒想到不幸的事情會發生在自己身上。

她的爸爸被招去當兵，後來母親收到了父親陣亡的消息，傷心過度病死左。Charlotte唯一的親人，又被石頭擊斃，她是舉目無親的孩子。Charlotte最後就落在她家的家庭律師，可是那律師把她放在一間女校就算了。

癮君子迫charlotte幫他穿膠花，日穿夜穿，慢慢地她的眼睛變得看不見東西。


癮君子在一次醉後發狂想找charlotte打一頓時，她再次逃跑。


因為眼睛已經看不見，衝了出馬路也不知道，被馬車撞死了。


不小心撞倒她的男人就是她的爸爸，可是，就算男人扶著女兒的身體，再也認不出她是誰了。
